New stock has some banding and splashes of red\/color and interesting shapes. Nodules have been tested in at least one spot to check for cracks and expose good stone. Amoeba nodules will be roughly 4\"-6+\" inches long\/wide however sizes and shapes will vary greatly.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAvailable in 10 lb, 20 lb, and 40 lb lots. Each 10lb lot will have approximately 6-10 tested nodules - this will vary.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAll nodules will work fine raw, easier workability and gloss can be achieved with relatively low temp heat treating (400-440F, turkey roaster works fine).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAs this is raw stone, there will be waste and other imperfections that we cannot see on initial grading. Proper spalling techniques must be used to reduce into usable spalls. Solid copper is the preferred tool for primary reduction. Dense Texas material can tear up boppers very quickly.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTexas Edwards Plateau Chert ranges in color from light tan to dark brown with some splashes of color from impurities.
