Shipping, Returns, & Refunds
Important Note on Unpacking Your Order
Many of our items are very sharp and are packed with great care to be as safe as possible for any package handlers as well as the customer. Please exercise extreme caution when unpacking your order after it arrives. We highly recommend using protective gloves when unpacking sharp items. Obsidian and other flintknapping stones can cut very deeply simply by brushing the stone edge with your bare hand.
Most customers should receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking instructions within 1-3 business days of order placement*. Shipping turnover on supply products is usually within 1-3 business days but may take up to a week. Orders containing finished stone work/weaponry may take up to 2-4 weeks to ship however most items are always in stock and ready to ship. Please understand that large orders may take some additional time to process. We will do our best to notify the customer in the event of any unforeseen setbacks in fulfillment of their order. If a customer feels that they should have received your order and have not, they should email us at email@example.com.
*Every year we take a few stone mining trips and are unable to fill orders for a few days because we are on the road. If this is the case we usually leave a note on the checkout page citing our return date.
All shipping charges quoted in our shopping cart are estimates based on both total package weight and current rates from UPS and USPS. Should a customer receive an incorrect shipping quote, we will usually wait to process/ship their order until we are able to contact them about proper arrangements. If the customer prefers USPS flat rate shipping, please make sure the items being purchased will fit in the corresponding flat rate box, and request the specific shipping in the 'special instructions' field during checkout (our shipping estimator cannot calculate flat rate shipping without manual adjustment). International customers should email to receive custom shipping quotes and considerations, especially regarding flat rate boxes and other limitations.
Please double check to make sure shipping addresses are correct before submitting an order. If you notice an error after placing an order in the confirmation email, please contact us immediately at 601-544-0845 or my email so that we can make the corrections before shipping. Any address corrections made after your order has been shipped will incur a fee imposed by on GoKnapping by the freight company. Customers are responsible for any fees associated with address correction due to errors and typos in customer entered shipping addresses if a parcel has already been shipped. These fees can include a minimum of $12.50 for address correction charged by UPS, or a location specific re-delivery fee in the case of USPS. Fees can be charged up to four weeks after the order is delivered since we are not aware of corrections until we receive our monthly bill. If the error is made by GoKnapping, we will gladly cover the re-delivery fees.
All credit card charges are pre-authorized online immediately after submitting an order. Please look over your order thoroughly before confirming your purchase because your card will be charged after you order. When packaging and processing the order we may make adjustments to the total before shipping. When we have packed your order, we process a shipping label and final authorize the credit card payment. If any special considerations need to be communicated please contact us as soon as possible because we cannot make adjustments after an order is shipped.
In the event that a customer would like to cancel an order placed with GoKnapping, they should do so immediately before shipping charges are incurred. If we receive their order cancellation request prior to shipping, we will still be able to issue a full refund. GoKnapping reserves the right to cancel and reject orders at our discretion.
Occasionally we do have items on backorder and have not yet updated the site at the time of a purchase. In that situation the customer will be contacted and given the option to wait until we can ship the order in full, ship portions of the order as they become available, or refund the backordered items in the order and ship the remainder.
International orders usually require additional handling and shipping considerations. If you feel your order qualifies, please contact us before ordering and we will be glad to help with purchasing. International orders must have the same bill-to and ship-to addresses listed during checkout when paying with credit card, or they must be paid for via PayPal with a confirmed ship-to address. After reviewing an international order, we may require an authorized pay-pal payment instead of a credit card payment as a consumer protection measure against international fraud and mistaken credit card chargebacks. Domestic flat rate boxes of rock require additional consideration when shipping international; Please contact us for a custom international shipping quote for these boxes.
We strive to consistently provide the most durable yet cost efficient flintknapping tools possible. We structure our pricing so that when a copper cap wears thin, or pressure flaker has no bite left, it will not break the bank to have a spare laying around. If a customer feels that a tool they purchased from us was received defective, they should contact us immediately and we will try to remedy the matter as best as possible. There is no warranty on stone purchases due to the nature of flint knapping, however stone is covered by our return policy as are all of the products we offer.
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, and in its original condition. Non-defective items are the responsibility of the purchaser to ship back to us for credit or refund, while defective items will be shipped back to us via our chosen method - we are happy to provide a shipping label via email.
To start a return, you will need to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like custom products (such as special orders, finished goods, or personalized items). Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
